Both are relative terms. We can argue about “effective”. IMO the mRNA vaccines were fairly effective at reducing fatalities, but they were abject failures at slowing transmission, which was the reason for mandates.
They were remarkable safe. The clotting was detected in 520 of 2.8 million Pfizer recipients. That’s not 520 dead; that’s just 520 who developed clots. So about a 0.018% chance of developing clots. And the odds of dying of clots was about 0.001%. You have to be a giant vagina to be worried about that.
