I was pleasantly surprised by the names at my daughter's kindergarten graduation.

They even had some REAL old school names likes Esther

Seems like this was focused on “trendy” names despite being lowly ranked. They are all awful.

These are ranked 1,000th and you're posting it? That means like 10-15 kids are named that a year.

Contrary to popular belief, classic/biblical names are back "in" now (Oliver, Noah, Liam, Jacob, Emma). Not to mention names like James that have always stayed near the top.

The article in the OP is about names that are "trending," but they're still all in the 500s or much lower in actual popularity.

Haven’t heard of these. Old people names are back in according to what I’ve been seeing.

As a kid I would have bullied kids with these names. As an adult if a kid told me their name and it’s one of these I’d push them down.

Classic names are dead.

To be fair all these in OP have moved up the ranks from like 2000 to 1700. These aren't the top 5 lol

Surprised that it hasn’t been mentioned that the article references one of our own. Hopefully the name is even more famous after this season!!!

Kyren

Here’s another cool baby name that can be pronounced two different ways (we’re sniffing a trend here!). Pronounce it like the wildly popular Kieren of recent decades, or opt for something a bit different by accentuating the first syllable to make it sound like “Kai-ren.”

This baby boy's name is still quite rare, but it jumped in rank quite a bit this year, moving from 1331st to 940th.2

Origin: Persian; Irish
Meaning: King, ruler, little dark one
Famous Namesakes: American football player Kyren Lacy,
