Don't tell the Lebanese that they are Arabs. It males them cringe. They prefer Levantine.

Yeah, the Palestinians refugees tipped the religious balance in Lebanon. But, Nassim Taleb has said that really, if you had looked at family growth , the switch in balance was inevitable but absent the Palestinians would not necessarily have been a cause for concern. So much of the Lebanese Muslims were very much like the Christians in communities like Beirut and Tripoli and Amioun. Even the mountains had a majority of Christians....the Maronites and Druze mostly .
