Trevor Penning might do well at guard with someone helping him on either side (the tackle and center). He’ll be better able to use his mean streak and pile drive whoever’s in front of him.

Focusing on what’s in front of him and going against DTs and inside LBs might be the best way to utilize his talents. He’s not the most athletic NFL offensive lineman, but he’s an absolute mammoth of a man and he’s aggressive .

He actually graded as the 2nd most athletic tackle in the draft. But I agree, I think he should be the LG. Maybe the guy we drafted last year can play RT.

Penning is super athletic. The problem is that his technique is awful. It won’t matter where he plays until that is fixed. I still believe he can play tackle with the right coaching.
