re: Joe Rogan’s latest guest - Terrance Howard - it’s a doozy

I don't listen to Rogan very often anymore but this episode auto played after another podcast and my hands were full for a while so I listened for about 5 minutes in confusion thinking it had jumped from the beginning deep into the podcast and I was missing context. When my hands were free I checked the time stamp and nope, it just jumped straight into nonsense without warning. I may have listened for entertainment value in the past, but I don't have patience for that these days.

My patience for silliness is actually growing as I age. I think the world is starting to look like a comic tragedy to me so I'm just suspending disbelief and enjoying the show.

This dude is a trip. I had never heard the story about his dad killing the guy in line to see Santa until I checked his Wikipedia page. Crazy that’s a footnote in his entire life story.

I watched the whole thing. This kinda bat shite crazy is more entertaining than watching Brittany Spears knife dancing. This dude legit thinks he truly solved the universe.

Terrence Howard is Kat Williams' final form.
Kat Williams was FoS but at least entertaining.

Howard was contracted to play Colonel James Rhodes in the 2008 film Iron Man. Howard was signed on before any of the other major actors and was the highest paid actor in the film. He was replaced by actor Don Cheadle in the film's sequels. Entertainment Weekly reported that Howard was offered a 50 to 80 percent pay cut for Iron Man 2, though it said that it was unclear whether Howard turned down the role or whether Marvel withdrew their offer.[7][8]
I had forgotten he was the original Rhodes.

He needs to lead with verified IQ test results before I’m dedicating time to watching. Not to be exclusionary but I’m not watching a guy show me a model he made of Saturn’s gravity unless some bona fides are established.

Watch it under the assumption that he’s clinically insane. Within the first minute he claimed his first memory was from his mother’s womb. I want to see Joe line up a conversation between Terrence Howard and Elon Musk.

This episode with Howard reminded me of the always sunny where Charlie believes he is a genius that can speak mandarin. That’s what Howard sounds like.

I'm far from defending Howard here but it seems as though his point with the 1×1 thing is due to the system and taught/trained behavior. In essence saying math is man made and open to frickery as all things man made are. His point of multiply, it's meaning and how 1×1=1 does make sense in a way. You have one multiply it by one then you still have one. Not exactly logical. Just accepted. When something multiplies you never end up with what you started with. Except in math. Just spit balling. Maybe I'm just as high as he is.
Keeping this one locked up from future edits

He demanded the same salary as RDJ for Iron man 2. They said no thanks
To play devils advocate, at the time Terrance Howard was the bigger star. Before Iron Man was releases, Howard had major roles in, Crash, Ray, Hustle and Flow, Four Brothers, and Pride. RDJ was starting his career resurgence but certainly wasn't who he was today.

Didn't TH want an exorbitant amount of money?

But he didn't have a bigger role in the movie. RDJ was playing the title character and essentially was already becoming the the cornerstone an entire franchise was being built on.

Math is man made in the same way that colors are man made in that both intend to describe and reflect the natural world, but neither influence what it describes. You, like Mr. Howard, are struggling with 1x1=1 because you learned math as an abstract, arbitrary construct instead of a descriptive language. Fortunately, multiplication is an operation that’s easy to shift into natural language, so easy that it’s common for people to do so, albeit in an unusual construction: times.
Perfect answer really.

Not sure if serious
You have 1
now answer how many times do you have 1 written above? You have it written 1 time. So 1 times 1 time = 1

Careful now; logic is a manmade construct taught by the system. In fact, it's a system itself.

I listened to a good bit of it today. He's not stupid but I think he's a little out there. Does he really have a lot of patents?
He seems adept at math and science but wants to make his own stuff up. Like arranging the periodic table based on sounds?
