Direct flights from Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Las Vegas for the season opener.

Posted this over on the SEC Rant yesterday but Delta added 56 new, direct routes for college football games this fall. This includes direct flights from Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Las Vegas for the season opener against USC. They've also added direct flights between Oklahoma City and Baton Rouge for the OU game on November 30th.

Thanks for the heads up, unsure if Breeze is running these as regularly scheduled flights for casino traffic or not. Need to do some more research.

Gulfport has direct flights that Friday and that Monday coming back. Breeze airways.

Nevermind. frick those prices. Just looked. $700+ for a bag of Chex mix and a coke sandwiched on a cattle car is more like a $99 experience. But I guess just get drunk before TSA and all will be fine.

It's almost like there is some big event happening in a major city on a holiday weekend.
Look at prices to Austin the weekend that Georgia plays Texas and the F1 race is in town. Prices are absurd.

Glad I booked 6 months ago . These prices are nuts . 1st class out of BR with United I got for half the price these spirit flights are out of Nola

Flying non-stop is overrated, I’d pay less if it means I stop in Dallas, Denver, etc
