BI can provide whatever lists he wants

OK, I see you misinterpreted my post. Here’s the scenario. Griff leaks to the press WG/BI spat and organizations intention not to sign him to a max (shite move … leaking to the press), next BI’s agent canvases league on who’s willing to pay max/near max dollars, BI canvases the list and rules out poverty franchises and selects list of teams who indicate willingness to pay, are well run and have a need at wing with a legit point. BI’s agent lets Griff know desired destinations and notifies others he would not extend creating a one year rental. Best interest of Pels to send an eight year vet to destination he wants with intent to extend. This maximizes Pels return as they can have desired locations bid against each other. Trade occurs, done deal.

The idea that he’d sign off on a trade to a team facing a rebuild, with a crap organization, and no established point is far fetched. He said as much in his exit presser. You all kill me with the greedy player routine. Most understand this is a business on both ends and if you were in the same position you’d attempt to use your leverage to.

If he indeed leaves you want a decent return and you tip your cap and say thank you for your efforts.

BI isn't AD or someone with that type of leverage.
and BI wants to make as much money as possible, and i don't say that's greedy b/c that's what 99% of people would do in his shoes.
You want $200M in Detroit for 4 years or you want $180M in Sacramento for 4 years? The answer: who gives a shite, i can live wherever i want half the year, i'd rather the 20 extra million dollars.

So in this scenario, multiple teams are interested in giving him a max extension?
You do realize this creates competition, meaning those teams are competing against each other to give the best offer?

The Heat can want to give him a max extension all they want. If we don't like their offer of Herro/Jovic/20301st, then we aren't sending him there, regardless if that's where he wants to go.

Brandon Ingram has missed 18, 37 and 27 games the last 3 years. He is an injury proned player.
There's a very simple scenario where these are his options:
1. Sign a lower than max extension with the Cavs (or someone else good). They have given us the best offer and is our ideal trade partner.

2. Sign max extension with Detroit or Charlotte. They are the only teams that have given us a trade offer that we deem acceptable. We are not interested in the deals Miami, Orlando or the 76ers gave us and no one else was willing to give you a max extension.

3. Sign a lower than max extension with the Pels and play out next year. We can look to trade next offseason or move forward as a Pelican.

3. You can not sign anything, play another season with the Pels, and become an unrestricted free agent next offseason and go wherever you want that has the ability to sign you. Risk of catastrophic injury could cost you hundreds of millions of dollars by taking this route mr injury prone BI.

Do you see how the leverage is more on our side than his?
I think it is highly unlikely that he plays next year without signing an extension b/c of his injury history.
There aren't a ton of teams worth a shite that ever have cap space. even when you're a UFA looking for a max contract, a S&T has to happen if you're going to the team you really want to go to.

You are assuming the teams willing to meet his price are playoff caliber teams. The new 2nd apron rules are forcing teams to operate differently. The Clippers seem to be seriously contemplating whether or not to pay Paul George. I don't think that's about Steve Ballmer getting cheap all of a sudden. I think its possible he would have to pick a cap space team like Detroit to get the money he wants. Now BI is also at the point in his career where he might leave money on the table for a better situation. I'm just saying don't assume that the other playoff teams will outbid the other teams on salary.
