Has the Prince/King Charles' - Viggo The Carpathian painting been discussed?

Totally normal portrait here plebians!

Charles III of the United Kingdom was unveiled. The oil painting by artist Jonathan Yeo is quite different from the pictures of monarchs you may have seen at the museum, to say the least. The color red dominates the entire unconventional artwork, and the internet being the internet, people's minds soon went to a very particular pop culture equivalent: the haunted painting of the villainous Vigo the Carpathian (Wilhelm von Homburg and Max Von Sydow) from "Ghostbusters 2."

Death is but a door
Time is but a window
I’ll be back

Two completely different portraits. Not similar in any way. Dumb.

What does the butterfly symbolize?

I don't see the similarity

I like it. I think it is a very cool effect.

It symbolizes his commitment to nature and the environment.

It doesn't so much look like Vigo and more like he's engulfed in the flames of hell.

These aren't even remotely similar

I think the similarity is just that they're both weird, menacing paintings of a single man.
This painting of Charles is worth talking about. Charles seems like a pretty weird cat to me- the pinkie ring, Camilla, the rants about architecture and shite... his parents were relatable. The arc of their lives and their marriage was reminiscent of many people from that generation.
Charles is just such an odd duck, though, and this portrait just reinforces that.

I WILL RULE ON A THRONE OF BLOOD
A totally environmentally friendly throne, but Blood Nonetheless !

For as much as the OT likes to be conspiratorial and call every rich famous person Illuminati Satan worshippers, this painting getting a shrug is odd.
