Look up Gracie United - Team Jucao. There's two gyms in Baton Rouge, along with other area gyms you would have access to as well in Prairieville, Walker, and Zachary. Good group of gyms to train with. They have huge in-house tournaments throughout the year where all of the affiliated gyms get together, which is great for kids and beginners. If he has previous BJJ and wrestling experience, it should come back pretty naturally to him.

I second Gracie United Ascension Team Jucao. Lil SI has been going for a couple years now. A lot of the kids are involved in other sports as well but are anchored in BJJ. Professor Robbie is a good dude and I definitely recommend giving it a shot, first weeks free.
They also have Apex wrestling, seems to be gaining a lot traction.
