I agree that killing a human is worse than killing a cat, but my point still stands true. The age of the cat makes no difference in the crime committed. She could be a kitten or 15 years old. It was a hateful, spiteful act intended to inflict as much pain and suffering on wife as possible because everyone knows she’s an animal lover.

The human vs cat thing is just an attempt to deflect and distract people to something else other than the matter at hand. I could see the SILs saying something like that as an excuse and a defense.

you equated killing a cat to killing grandma and that’s not true - I said it was terrible and you should distance yourself

Quit being emotional and go do something about this.
