They’ve taken toys as far as they can go as far as I’m concerned. Toy Story 1 you have the boy’s room, toy torturer, and a move, Toy Story 2 you get toy stores, toy collectors, and the dark threat of toys inevitable fate, Toy Story 3 you got the daycare, the incinerator, and the kid moving on from his toys and growing up.
Toy Story 4 on the other hand you have making fork toys, the fair, and an antique store… yeah that’s bottom of the barrel there.
Inside Out though, you can really follow Riley for a long portion of her life. We got childhood in the last one and getting puberty in this one. High school, college, getting into the real world, getting married, having a kid, and being a parent can all be movies on their own, and can work without it getting old and going over things you did in previous movies.
