right. I just want a tax credit for what I personally contribute to the public school system.

what I dont want, is bad kids parented by bad people flooding into private schools.

I want tax credits for what I personally contribute to the police system and fire department. I don’t use those services.

ETA: and to incarcerate people. And to run the courts.

private schools have requirements for acceptance, and they kick out the bad students that do manage to find their way through the acceptance process. this won't happen, unless the government puts some stupid rules on them that they have to accept students they wouldn't otherwise. if that's the case then this system will be shite and is a no go.

I really don’t think you’ll see a lot of this. Bad parents generally don’t care enough about their kids to get them to private school. I also don’t think you’ll see that many of them try to utilize this program. Once they see they’re not gonna be able to sign up just get a lump sum of $X000 of and that they have to show documentation from an approved vendor for what they’re using the money for and the check will only be that specific amount they’ll balk on it.

What worries me is the parents, albeit with good intentions, who are going to use this program to homeschool their children themselves who have no business teaching
