Scottie should embrace it and do a full WWE heel turn from the current choir boy persona

Common freaking sense by the officers avoid everything here. Simple questions of "who are you? Why didn't you stop?" And then a reprimand on scene, followed by allowing him to go would suffice.

There's literally no good reason that cop, when Scheffler DID stop, couldn't have explained the situation and let him go on through.
Or he's could've did that initially. Hence why he's a dumbass.

This tells me you’re a MAGA copcuck who desperately tries to justify backing the blue while not being onboard with the feds

Yeah, just a big misunderstanding. Shocked they actually took him in to the station
This is my thing. If they had just detained him and asked a few questions, each side explain who they are and what happened, then he gets to the course 30 minutes late with no national stories. Taking him to the station doesn’t seem to make sense in this situation.

Honestly thought that's how it would've ended. LMPD is not known for making the best decisions though.
Scottie is still an idiot though.

On top of charging him with a fricking felony

You do realize the law provides a person being stopped by police the ability to get to a safe place before stopping. Everything reads like he was getting out of the way and the cop, who had an unmarked jacket on at that, acted like a fricking idiot.

This.
Imagine a white cop arresting Lebron on the way to game 7 of the NBA finals.
Just imagine the riots.
That would be racism. This I guess is not.
And what do you think people here would be saying about Lebron?

This is actually good news for Scheffler and the PGA. The average Joe is more likely to remember Scheffler's name now and more people will tune in to the tournament this weekend.

What a cluster. Dumbass cop. Maybe if the LMPD did their job, a pedestrian doesn’t get killed and traffics doesn’t get backed up.

So he doesn't have the right to find a safe spot to pull over like anyone else who is being stopped on the road by a cop? He was on a median on Shelbyville Road and stopped when he pulled into the Valhalla gate (right off the road).

I think I've gotten more ESPN push notification in the past hour than the Kobe crash. They are all in.

They just had a local attorney that has been obtained by I believe Scheffler on ESPN that said the cop wasn't even a part of the tournament group that was working the event.
This just keeps getting better for LMPD. You hate to see it.

Green jacket, plaid jacket and now an orange jumpsuit, Scottie is having a career wardrobe season.

How stupid are you not to realize that other golfers were let through. He has his name on his car to let everyone know who he is so cops or anyone else can let them into the course. All the officer had to do was look at his car and say oh your allowed to go in . The cop was trying to be a billybad arse and throw his weight around. Cops for the most part are good people but you do have dipshits like this who want to show you who's the boss.
