We were both stacked as frick last year. When you shed that much talent, you are bound to have a drop off. While it is interesting, it isn't unique to see teams win the natty then have a drop off.

In 2017 the same 2 teams played for the natty. The following year 2018 Florida won 20 SEC games and won the East division. LSU was 15-15 in the SEC. Florida was a top 8 seed. LSU was a 2 seed at Oregon St. A drop off is one thing, but teams seem to be falling off of a cliff in the post NIL/portal era.
