Guidry looked like he was pitching in Little League tonight!

i originally wanted little to finish the game, but now they have him available. it is actually a brilliant move. they tried to finish the game without using herring, but they had to win and guidry lost it. tomorrow's game may not even happen, but i assume it still will.

lsu had to win this and you still have everybody but jump available.

I think Little is the only guy that pitched tonight that has pitched twice in the same weekend all year.

not saying it wont happen but i wouldnt be so sure

I agree with more of you takes than a lot of people here but this is not one of them. All relievers are available again this weekend. Especially Saturday.

It’s not a take, just an observation.

yeah but we don’t usually send herring out for 2 outs. he’s usually pitching 3-4 innings.

Have any of the others had 10-15 (21 in Ack’s case) pitches in the first game of a series? Serious question.

Guidry maybe? Seems like he’s probably pitched twice though. Could be wrong. Would surprise me if we had used Ack or Herring like that very much, if any.

For sure. I agree it hasn’t been done but I also haven’t seen them all throw so little pitches. It seemed Jay did it that way for a reason to throw them again. If not he would have let little go as long as possible to finish the game.

They had to replace Guidry tonight. They all threw so few pitches they will all be available.

Are you under the impression that they are burned for the weekend with less than 25 pitches?

Exactly. What dummy considers a pitcher “burned” from a few pitches
