Had a lil breakfast tonight.

Picked up a side of fried mushrooms at the poboy place next door.
Had some leftover steak and make steak phillys.
Having a few cocktails as well to celebrate my time off coming up.

That’s not bad. The more you do it, the more it’s like a routine.

That's often case for certain Asian/Indian dishes. To make them well takes incredible amounts of time or a multitude of unusual ingredients. It's easier to find a good restaurant and just go there for certain dishes.
My wife gets aggravated with me when I fill the fridge with bottles or containers of ingredients that might sit in there for months, before attempting another similar dish.

No way. A lot of prep work but super fun to make Asian food.
Darla great job. Looks good. Where did the brisket come from?

t00f, I think I’m going to make a thread tomorrow about making the pho. The brisket was cooked in the bone broth I’d made.
Thanks, Pete! It was a learning experience. I could do it in two days, next time, instead of three!
r3lay3r, the condiments and spices and jars and bags of this and that in the fridge(s) and cabinets is crazy! My husband is kind (or oblivious) enough to ignore it most of the time.

Yeah, it's not that I haven't tried a lot of different dishes, and I do enjoy the challenge. But certain dishes I just would rather go to a good restaurant to get. Pho and Ramen fall into that category.

I’m not familiar with all of these acronyms, but I know a fine meal when it’s about to be had.
