We are hearing Tuesday at the earliest for our part of memorial.

Guess it just caught Centerpoint by storm (rimshot)

My son lives off of Barker Cypress and Gummert (a little north of Clay). They were back on last night.

They expected a lot longer but are grateful.

My disposal wasn’t working when I got home about 30min after getting notice the power was back. It was burning hot. I’m guessing was on when it came back on and burned up.

I was hand washing dishes in the sink and it wasn't draining, so was manually pulling out larger pieces of food that had fallen down there. Would grab a chunk, turn around, lob in the trash, repeat. I was elbow deep in the thing and about one inch above the blades when the power came back on and the disposal was running!

Whew, glad to have power back but literally a half second from having some fingers removed.

Close one! It would have sucked to have lost a few fingers for the lack of a 99 cent strainer.

Lots of electrical trucks in Oak Forest right now.

I didn’t see a single fricking truck in my section today. I’m up near candlelight park.

Checked the new map that Centerpoint came out with and my area isn’t even colored. No one has power so not taking that as a good sign.

My generator setup has been kicking arse though.

Had a crew spend all day by the post office on Rosslyn. They got that pole changed and it helped a bunch but I’m one of a couple of streets still out. There’s no one out working in the area now. Holding out hope for tomorrow. I’m checking out of this ghetto arse galleria hotel no matter what.

Good luck!

They turned on power to the lines on my street 2 days ago. 1 fire and another line making some noise that was down in my neighbors pool. We have a lot of broken poles and trees on lines still.

I have an 11 kw converted to run of my natural gas and it runs everything but my downstairs 4 ton unit. All our bedrooms are upstairs and the 3 ton unit with a soft start gives it no issues.

Lots of trucks at TC Jester and 11t in 77008. Some working on transformers, but lots of them are still replacing poles and clearing lines. Might still be awhile for me…
Re fans. I have an O2 fan from academy, 10” I think. Runs on 8 D Cells. Ran at least 48 hours on low, which was plenty breeze for sleeping sweat free. Highly recommend

I’ve been seeing steady progress in GOOF today. Street lights are at least blinking now on 34th/Ella. Dominos and Marcos commercial buildings both have power. They are chipping away at it.

I'm hearing they're having issues getting in peoples backyards because gates are locked. I'm about to go around with some fricking bolt cutters.

Only casualty I’ve found so far is a fried garage door opener.
