So I wanted to get ahead of this. TWolves may be on their way to an exit tonight, and like every team that gets knocked out, all the drama will begin. The team had a lot of success obviously, but the two bigs is clunky and they did have some real offensive issues at time. Conley at 36 is an issue and Towns is the likely target of any frustration. But the biggest issue is the cost of this team. Towns is set for $50, $53, $57 and $61!

While Brandon will cost a lot, he is $36 million next year which might be a sly way to cut money but appear to be looking to improve. Could they go Garland with Ingram going to Cleveland?

Per 36: 24, 9.2 and 3.4 assists, 50% and 41.6% from 3.

CJ, Herb, Murphy, Zion and Kat puts four possible 40+% 3PT shooters around Zion. And unlike a small lineup, they should be able to rebound.

Probably other pieces involved, but just for conversation, would you make Kat your top target?

Not really. Hes always hurt. Defensively hes a big issue. Constantly gets into foul trouble. He doesn’t want to play center. Him and Zion together would be atrocious defensively. Doesn’t really solve our guard creation problem.

Theres just too many negatives to Kat to hitch your wagon to him.

So your solution to our lack of toughness is Karl Anthony Towns?

Towns is one of those guys I hate to watch, to be clear. Constantly complaining to refs, not always running back etc. And his contract is stupid high. But I will play devils advocate.

We are looking for a stretch big and he may be the best in history at it. He immediately eliminates any possibility of a team building a wall on Zion. Whether we run a two man game with Kat and Zion, or simply five out and the ball in Zion’s hands, I don’t know how you stop that.

Defensively, you are replacing BI with Murphy, and Jonas with KAT on the 6th ranked defense in the league. I don’t see that as some major drop off, in fact I would say that’s an improvement if KAT is even semi motivated.

Wait for Karl to pick up a dumbass foul 40 ft from the basket 10 seconds later so he can head to the bench.

I like KAT and all as a player, but he's a bad fit on the Pels. I'll pass.

Think some of y’all are being a little too hard on KAT because Jimmy Butler was a public a-hole while they were teammates a few years ago.

KAT is not the best defender but I don’t think he’s soft. And his spacing would be amazing next to Z.

Hes soft. Misses a ton of games and fouls like crazy. Then whines about his fouls. He also hates playing center.

Care to explain why the best 3 point shooting 5 in the league isn’t a good fit next to Zion?

He can say he doesn’t like the 5 all he wants. He’s a 5, just like bitch AD.

From what I’ve heard, the problem is his defense. As in “he doesn’t play any.”

Well you can't really look at his on/off defensive stats to say he's a bad defender. Of course the defense is better with him on the bench and the 4x DPOY on the court. And Gobert doesn't miss many games for you to look at what he does without Gobert.

If we can have a top 10 defense with lazy BI, lazy Zion and JV, i'm sure we'd be just fine with KAT.

KAT commits the dumbest fouls, legit low IQ player.

Toughness or not, the idea that you'd pass on Karl Anthony Towns as compensation for Ingram is absurd. That's well beyond what the Pelicans will get.

Fit is as important as the quality of player we get back.

Having two incompatible stars doesn’t do us much good.

I think I am just on the opposite side of this board on KAT and Trae. Y'all seem to love Trae and I think he's a terrible fit. I love KAT but y'all think he's a terrible fit.

The Wolves aren't blowing it up/semi-blowing it up. 100% this is not even on the table imo. They've had a great season and could possibly be even better. One more win and they will be the favorite to make the finals. They aren't getting rid of KAT when they are gelling like they are right now and earlier than expected in Edwards timeline.

Dude thinks he’s a wing player and is not fond of playing in the paint!
