Wrights is fine. Is it special? No.
Anyone raised in the South knows that you'll get your best BBQ experience at some roadside, cracked cinder block building, with a stained pig-shaped sign outside, with sketchy as shite places around it, or standing out in the middle of farmland.
You want city BBQ, and you can do ok. You want the actual best, its somewhere where "Yelp" is a slurred affirmative answer to a question.

Corkscrew is good. I would put Truth, Chocolate, Snow’s, Pit Room ahead of them. That’s not even including Lockhart and Austin area.
The Burnt Bean in Seguin is legit.

I think there was a doc made a few years ago about how Yelp shakes down restaurants; if they dont pay up they get bad reviews
Like the Columbo episode about the food critic who murders the restaurant owner

I actually ate there last night. It was good, but there are places in East Texas I'd rank higher.
However, the burnt ends at the top of this pic were absolutely perfect. Some of the best I've ever had.

By far the best BBQ in Arkansas. I go every chance I get

I’ve seen better baby backs on the quad.

Your taste in BBQ must be whack! Count Porkula is good but doesn’t hold a candle to Wrights. Ridgewood in Russellville is solid as well as Knight Fire in Searcy. I’m from Louisiana and I love the food..but the bbq in AR is hands down better. Texas is still king to me as I love brisket. Each to his own i guess

List is shite. Not one Memphis or West TN joint on the list. Only TN joint is in tourist trap Gatlinburg.

I live in NWA, and Wright's is very good. But I think the best BBQ Ive tasted was in Waynesville, NC at the Haywood Smokehouse. If you're in western NC, I highly recommend it.

Elwood's Shack is 100 on that list, which tells you right there the list is indeed shite.

I live not far from Jane. I have heard it has good reviews.

Is McClards in Hot Springs still worth a flip? Was in the 90s. I remember a decent spot in Pea Ridge up north too.

While I generally think texas brisket is overrated, I will hate frick your corpse until the ghost of your great grandfather returns from the dead to call you a fig.
You leave tootsie alone.

We ate there when LSU played there back in 2022 and we all really enjoyed it. Not sure if it's the best I ever had but it would rank high.

Lol, bbq is as subjective as it gets
U can have worlds best, and it isn't any better than a local joint who had beat bbq years earlier.
One of the lol. Titles there are in culinary. World

I’d hurt somebody to get to those beef ribs.

Was there this week. The ribs were legit bad. Brisket had good flavor but dry as frick. Corkscrew is definitely better imo.

Better than Terry Black's? Better than Leroy and Lewis? Better than Goldee's? Seriously doubt that. That entire list is suspect.
