Warner got into the HOF because of his story. Dude was vastly overrated. Yes, he got a ring, but look at his numbers in those games. Not very impressive.

Why do people constantly say Kurt Warner was overrated? He has a 9-4 career playoff record and dragged the ham fisted Arizona Cardinals to a Super Bowl, which they almost won.
Here is a crazy Kurt Warner stat: He once held the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd most passing yards in a Super Bowl game ever, at the same time. All have since been surpassed by other qbs.

His numbers in the Super Bowl: 24 for 45 with 414 yards and 2 tds.
3 game total for those playoffs: 77-121 for 1,063 yards and 8 tds. He had a 100.00 Passer rating as well when league average that season was 77.1.

He threw for over 400 yds in both of the rams games…. And the cards never sniff the SB without Warner.

Should have won! No way should the James Harrison 99 yard fumble return for a TD happen lol. SIde note, the 2008 pats were the best team in franchise history. Everyone was back from 07. Brady wins another MVP and at least goes to the superbowl again imo.

OPs claim is completely butchered. Randy Johnson‘s first year pitching in the MLB he was 23

Before then, but Phil Niekro didn't Crack the starting rotation until he was like 27 or 28. He won 31 games before he turned 30. He won over 300 in his career. So he averaged like 16 wins for the last 18 years of his career. He pitched 3 times more innings in his 40s than he did in his 20s.

If Barry Bonds wasn’t given a baseball bat in 2004, he’d still have the best season OBP in baseball history.
232 walks (120 intentional) is mind-numbing

To borrow on a phrase that’s often used against guys who are considered stat-compilers - it’s the Hall of “Fame”.
Warner is worthy.

He majored in photojournalism and was a photographer for the school paper at USC.

Randy Johnson probably didn’t play travel ball either using his arm a lot as a kid.

Harty Gant didn't drive full-time in Winston Cup until he was 38.

Randy Johnson doesn't really fall into the steroids discussion though.
he always threw hard and had a nasty slider, he just couldn't control the damn thing when he was younger.
Led the league in walks several times.
once he figured out how that players don't swing the bat when bailing out the ay of an errant heater, and put the ball over the plate, his walks went way down and strikeouts went way up.

Funny story about RJ. Talked to a former teammate, David Delucci & he said that RJ had at least 11 cars. Lived only a mile away from the ballpark. His favorite car, one he drove to the park everyday, was a hot rodded up Volkswagon. Knees up to his chin, took a good minute getting in & out of the front seat. Said teammates ragged him all the time & he "just didn't care".

You need to stop listening to that podcast because they obviously don’t know shite. He was 25 when he debuted for the Montreal Expos
