re: Any of you run TruFuel in your lawn equipment?

I switched to it about 5 years ago. I have not had one issue w my blower, chainsaw, edger or trimmer since. Not one.
It is expensive but well worth it for me. I use one of the big cans of it each year

10 year old lawn mower, 12 year old weed eater, 12 year old blower, 14 year old chainsaw, 16 year old generator all still work and start on first or second crank every single time.
Have only used non ethanol gas and added stabilizer.
I’ve done hardly any maintenance to any of them. Changed the oil once in my mower, twice in the generator.

I just mix my own. If I have issues with any small engines
90% of the time the carburetor just needs cleaned

i think its snake oil. its just gas with an additive? Never used it and no issues with regular gas (non-ethanol) and oil mix
I feel the same. I use non-ethanol gas that costs around $3.25 a gallon from a mom and pop station near me and use the 2 stroke oil in the small containers fit for 1 gallon of fuel. I use that in my weedeater and chainsaw.
For my mower and pressure washer, just plain non-ethanol fuel and have no issues for years. I do run the pressure washer 3-4 times a year for hours at a time when cleaning around the house. Lawn equipment gets used weekly on average-----more in the summer than fall/winter.
Chainsaw gets started and run even if not planning to use it just to keep things working several times a year.

At home I mix my own, but up at the camp we run True Fuel thru all the two stoke equipment.

That price is ridiculous. I gallon of non ethanol and a bottle of red armor is less than $9.
It’s more of a convenience thing for people that don’t want to mix their own.

If you’re buying non-ethanol gas from a pump that also pumps ethanol gas. The first 1/3 or more of the 1st gallon is whatever the customer before you was pumping.

I use it in all my 2 stroke stuff (2 weed eaters, blower, brush cutter, poles, 2 chainsaws).
Some of those will sit up for a while between use. I don't want the ethanol to eat the fuel lines or mess up the carburetor. When I'm at my place working it's a 20-30 min drive to find parts and I don't have time for that.
I buy a 2+ gallon at the beginning of the year and will use 2 of those.

I love using Tru-Fuel for the simple fact of pouring. The new gas cans are ridiculous, and easier to control Tru-Fuel, so you don't overflow those small engine fuel tanks.

I use it in my trimmer, my honda walk behind, and my suzuki 2.5 outboard boat motor (different blends). They all start up on the first pull, no matter how long they've sat. It is expensive, but I don't go through much either, and it lasts a long time on the shelf. If I were a pro and was running equipment every day, the cost would not be worth it. But I only use maybe a gallon a year, max.

Bingo

There are quite a few YouTube vids about how awful the True fuel is. It increases carbon deposits and the octane rating seems inflated. I bought some after Ida and my equipment wasn’t running as well as the normal non ethanol I mix myself. Better to buy and mix your own . If you like the pre mix then pony up for the Stihl pre mix. It is excellent

I use it for my weed eater. It's a Stihl two stroke so it's nice to have the oil premixed. I only go through a couple cans a year so it's an almost nothing expense that saves me a bunch of headache.

I started using the Husqvarna version this year in my weed eater and chainsaws. It says on the can that it is 95 octane non ethanol with additives. I put some in one of my saws that hasn't ran in 3 years and it fired right up like new. I may not run it the whole year instead use it like a preventative maintenance. I use non ethanol gas in everything.

Not once have I ever seen this happen

I’ve had it happen to a weed eater and a small tiller.
Had to replace lines on weed eater and new carb on the tiller.
Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.

I use in weed eater. No problems

Another issue with it is that it simply produces less power and in high strung commercial-grade equipment that can be a noticeable problem, the volatility inherent in gasoline also means it burns better and has more BTU's per volume than canned fuel.
Chickanic in YT hates canned fuels and she has done a lot of videos on them. One thing she showed was engines did not reach full RPM with them compared to non-ethanol gas. The tach doesn't lie.
