Warm is fine. Never hot.

I prefer it cold too, but I don't mind it a little warm.

Cold. And the Publix Southern style potato salad is probably better than 75% of that served at dinner tables around the south.

German potato salad is good hot. All others cold.

lady at my church growing up made the warm one

This lady misread the recipe. Hot pudding is just unacceptable.

It really depends. German potato salad is supposed to be eaten warm, but good ol fashioned southern potato salad from the fridge is delicious.

I never even knew hot was a thing until a few days ago. I went to Tony Packo's in Toledo (made famous by Klinger in M.A.S.H.) over the weekend and their "potato salad" was potato slices served warm with kind of a balsamic vinegar flavor. It was pretty good. But, a regular mustard potato salad should be cold.

I like it better when it's freshly made and still warm from the residual heat from the potatoes and eggs. Once it cools down, it goes in the fridge and the leftovers get eaten cold. I ain't reheating that shite although I've heard of people doing it.

Depends on the type.

German potato salad = hot

Just your regular, mustard/mayo based potato salad = cold

Freshly made...room temperature. I'll eat after being in the refrigerator but room temp is when it's best!

I will be honest, I have never heard of hot potato salad and would consider it a food of Satan if someone served me warm PS.
