He was the anchor for our legendary 2011 defense. Awesome, awesome player.

"I Truly want to thank all My Fans for supporting my family and I during these 11 beautiful yrs. I want to personally thank the Rams and Lions organizations for taking the risk on me to represent their teams," Brockers wrote in his Instagram post. "I want to also thank My Teammates and Coaches for making me the player I was. This Game is a beautiful Game because it has aspects of life through out and this is the time where I have to Be comfortable being Uncomfortable and truly master this thing we call life."

Seeing players who were your age when you went to school retire with these stats is a kick in the nuts.
Good for Brockers.

Hope he managed it well & is set up for life.
It’s wild that you also have guys like Big Baby who made 10s of millions & barely had any left once they quit playing.

He is about 7” taller and 150 pounds heavier than I am. So I try not to beat myself up too much.

You should've worked harder to be a 6'5" 320 lb brick shite house of a man that can stand up two NFL offensive lineman at once.
You just didn't work hard enough. Could've been you.

I sat right by him during the Spring game when he was on a recruiting visit. I had brought a kid from Virginia, and that's why I was sitting there. Big guy and as I remember, very polite...

Brockers was always one of my favorites. Quiet guy who went about business, made a shite ton of money while doing it. Enjoy retirement

yeah makes me think of the time I was watching Olympic swimming and thought “Man, I loved swimming as a kid but never got serious about. Maybe if I had applied myself”
and the announcer then immediately said “he’s short for a swimmer at 6’ 3”

Interestingly enough, he came to LSU as a defensive end and then grew into a defensive tackle.
Perhaps Paris Shand or Saivion Jones can do the same.

Very true. He didn’t have the notoriety of a Glenn Dorsey, but he ultimately became a better football player than Glenn as evidenced by his NFL career, which was superior to Glenn’s NFL career.
Glenn is a pretty humble guy and would probably acknowledge as much.

Chaz Ramsey nuked Glenn’s career in one play.
Loved watching Brockers play. Dominant DL… what a luxury.

Bennie Logan wasn’t too shabby either from that same squad. That line was NASTY. Brockers, Logan, Montgomery, Mingo good lord.

Plus Kendrick Adams starting at defensive end and Lavar Edwards and Ego Ferguson as backup DL.
Ridiculous amount of talent. Wish we had that now.

I think they always saw him as a DT. he was built like a slightly skinnier McKinney. 6’5” enormous frame. they redshirted him to add weight and he turned into a mosnter

i tell people this all the time... the more athletic guys at 270-280 should gain 25 more lbs and move inside and go make a shitload of money... Rashard Lawrence was another but he was a really good 3 tech... he and Tyson Jackson were damn near the same and he went 4th overall but we dont run a 3/4 anymore... (wish we stil did) and i think we may see some this year...
