Man shite got crazy for awhile here in Belle Chasse. Seems like it’s dying down thankfully. Hope all of you guys and your homes are safe

One of the craziest things about this event is that the storm itself traveled from Houston to New Orleans in 5 hours. (between 6:30 PM and 11:30 PM)

That's 317 miles in 5 hours or average of 63.4 mph.

Got pretty sporty for about 15 or 20 minutes in Slidell (east of I-10, close to the lake). Ton of lightning, but minimal rain and wind leading up to the storm. Then, it was raining sideways and the wind really picked up. The worst was over fairly quickly. It's calming down now.

Stupid dog wanted to play fetch with the frisbee. At least she's not afraid of bad weather!
