Yes. ASOS measures the wind at 10 meters or about 32 feet above ground level.

Let's see if the one downstream in Metairie had a reading close to that. It is almost in line with the storm motion.
There's the one just South of the one in Metairie that had 48mph. I imagine the airport one is more in the open.
