The best thing you can do for someone that is morbidly obese is to be honest with them and encourage them to get in shape before they suffer a serious illness as a result.
The best thing you can do to someone with a very clear mental disorder is to make sure that they understand that something is not functioning properly in their mind and they need help. They need to get it addressed. This is beyond apparent when you read social media comments and who says what.
