Well, that's why nothing will change with the debt/deficit.
Because to pay off the debt, we'd have to kill SS/Medicare and stop giving out the benefits, yet still collect the taxes.
When you can't even convince people who think they are conservative that SS/Medicare are entitlements, what do you think the chances of THAT are?
