Is Biden wanting to debate in June to avoid them switching him at convention?

A June debate seems really strange to me unless the goal is to make it more concrete as being between him and Trump. This would make it that much harder to remove him if they’ve already started having debates.

Yeah, it just seems that if that is the reason why he’s doing that that’s a good sign for the Trump side. It would indicate that there are a lot within the dem party that want to move on because their internal polling numbers are that bad

I think the reason for an early debate is when he sh*ts the bed, they'll have more time to come up with a reason he's dropping out of the race and who his replacement will be.

Perhaps the theory is, if Biden gives a horrible debate performance such that nominating someone different at the convention is the only possibly way for a Democrat to win.

I stand by my statement over a year ago that Biden will not run for president in November. Dems will do anything to win and they know he ain't gonna win.

If this is their plan, I think they are fricked regardless.
The last major party candidate to make the ballot without running in the primaries was Hubert Humphrey in 1968 and that was an utterly fricked cycle for the Dems between LBJ pulling out and RFK being assassinated.
They at least pretended Hillary and Biden won their primaries the last two cycles. Airdropping in a replacement at the convention is not going to end well IMHO. Doubly so since the convention is in Chicago and the protesters will want to make 1968 look like a popcorn fart.

I don't think the timing has anything to do with replacing Biden. He will still be replaced at the convention. The democrats thought that putting in all the rules that favored Biden would cause Trump to decline the debate. Then they could run all over the media claiming Trump was too scared to debate. Trump called their bluff.

Maybe Biden's handlers have the doctors hit him with a placebo right before the debate and let him fall apart on live TV. That way he's easier to replace with Big Mike or Newsome.

The mental gymnastics that y’all go through is hilarious. Mayyybeee just maybeee everything isn’t a big ole conspiracy theory. It has to be exhausting changing y’all’s story around to fit your warped reality. Biden would destroy Trump in any debate, which is why I bet Trump will refuse.
