There was a lady at our local Walmart who had a German Shepherd service dog (clearly marked). She was getting pissed because no one would check her out. The black female cashiers were all scared of the dog. She started getting irate and loud. I told her "regardless of what right you have to have your dog in here, these cashiers are scared of your dog and they aren't going to check you out."
A manager checked her out. This was before the store had self checkout.

The dog was outside on the front porch. How did the dog get outside on the front yard? Why have your dog outside on the front yard knowing a delivery driver is coming? Have just a small sliver of personal responsibility for your pet. I see less and less of it in modern times. People now brining their pets everywhere they go and letting them walk up to people

If you read the article, the guy that showed up was using another person's account, possibly his father's.

Harmon is now suing Instacart and Reid, claiming she believed she was interacting with the delivery driver named "Merle," on the app, whose profile picture depicted an older woman, while answering questions about her order prior to the incident.

However, her attorney claims that Reid — whose father's name is Merle, per records viewed by PEOPLE — was the one who arrived
That’s shady

Your pics of Angie aren't loading.

Dont expect delivery people to want to interact with your rescued dog, like you think they should

Why didn’t the driver say the dog charged me? He said attacked. There should be marks something if your attacked.

And the dog doesn’t need to leave marks to get shot
Bottom line is don’t leave your dog in the front yard after you call a delivery driver to come to your house. Did the driver overreact? Possibly, we don’t l know as of now, but possibly. However, if she keeps the dog out of the front yard little Ollie is alive

Crazy that she waited until her career was basically over to finally get her tits done

don’t leave your dog in the front yard
You are acting like the dog was out on the street. I am willing to bet she had fence around her front yard to keep the public away.

ETA: Not that it matters but her front yard doesn’t have a fence

German Shepherd and Beagle mix rescued from a shelter...
That detail makes me even madder than the headline.

Exactly. Im not gonna let myself get bit just to show the dog was a threat. If the dog was loose, its her fault. She killed her dog.

Was it a pit bull?
It was a 43 pound beagle/German Shepherd mix.

One might try running or leaving before firing a lethal shot,

As to the identity fraud on the part of the dog killer. These delivery apps could EASILY overcome this by requiring facial recognition or fingerprint ID to receive orders and access the app.
This gentleman was trespassing in any legal sense of the world as Harmon had agreed for someone named Merle who was backgroud checked by Instacart to be delivering the groceries.

If this story was a pit bull and the owner was Jemelle Hill this thread would be so different even if the circumstances were the exact same
