Are you really calling me out for using literally correctly? OK then.

Just being cheeky. People overuse "literally" all the time.

frick LA - that is my yard when so much as a drop of rain falls within 50 miles. i love my yard, in that it is very soft grass - almost like walking on shag carpet, but it also grows super fast and i have to mow every 3 to 4 days.

and agreed OP, today is a very nice day - hoping tomorrow will be the same. celebrating my moms 76th Birthday with a picnic at Oak Mountain.

Tomorrow looks to be good. Unfortunately, Friday looks to be shite and it's two of my nephews' grad party...at the pool.

They live out in Eagle Point and are using the club house, but yeah, it sucks for them. Dad was smoking a few butts and a brisket, but it looks like a rain out.

You need to plant native plants and grasses and adopt the Zappas Stache "no mow" approach to your lawn.

Live oaks and Spanish moss have joined the chat.

Also, we actually enjoyed last summer, though people said it wasn't a super hot one like is expected this year.

Isn’t Spring “damn pretty” in most places?

Yes. But I've lived in more than a few places around the world, and the American South tops them by a fair margin. New England has the fall. We have the Spring.

The South is spectacular. We should all give thanks to God that we get to live here.

can't beat it on certain days in the spring and fall weatherwise
the summers can be brutal and last summer might have been the worst with the drought
at least winters are doable

Always remember that for all but three and a half months, it's okay living in the south. Even a lot of June can be fine.
