I guess I can understand the money part, but golf is a game of moving your way
Up the chart to finally get good enough to just make the cut. Then you work your way up to top 20 finishes and then you start winning here and then you have to work even harder to be in the top of the game.. you earn everything on the pga tour.

Yeah but Bryson didnt stop working when he got paid. Thats why he is playing well. Bryson is obsessed with golf. He eats, breaths, and sleeps it. He has embraced social media and his love for the game shines through his awkwardness. And thats why people like him, because most golfers are a little awkward and we wish we could hit it 350.
Bryson is a star. LIV doesnt give him a great platform but he still is one of the most popular golfers on social media.

Bryson is the one guy I'm surprised that went. The others it makes sense but he surprises me. Hurr durr money, yea the top guys on the PGA are really struggling to pay the bills.

I have no problem with that part. The LIV tour is a joke compared to the pga. Three rounds, no cut, and last place gets money. You are not really playing for anything. There is no risk there. On the pga?? EVERY shot counts…

What pisses me off about Bryson is that he bolted to LIV.
Heck, that's a plus for him in my book.

Then you don’t know what the game will f golf is all about. People value money way too much and want the easy way out…

You’re the type of person that would bitch the tournament boring if they were scoring even par. Just enjoy a stacked leaderboard and stop crying. You’d fit right in with the NLU guys
Absolutely incorrect, I much prefer seeing the best of the world challenged, I would not bitch at all.

This tournament and Bryson is further proof to a point I’ve been holding for a while.
You have to play a lot. Bryson Is a golf nerd, Who lives and breathes it.
Most of those other guys are unlikely to be putting in the same effort as they were before. It shows

Was it? He needed Birdie Birdie to tie.
Yes. As you just acknowledged. Birdie birdie would have tied and given him a chance to win in a playoff.
In fact, with par-birdie he had a chance to win right up to the last putt, which certainly was no better than maybe a 60/70% make percentage putt.
Therefore, claiming he needed birdie eagle for a “chance” was an incredibly stupid post.

Some things were tough to avoid because of the rain, but the course being so soft makes it really difficult to feel like a major.
Misses don’t get penalized nearly as much, and so when you feel that “major-like pressure” coming down the stretch you don’t get penalized the same amount. Watching balls basically stop when the players were coming from the rough is just crazy to me.
Happy for Xander to get a major, but I really wish he would have done it at a course where he had to hold up in tough conditions.

Does Scottie win this tournament if Ted Scott is on the bag on Saturday?
Posted on 5/20/24 at 9:47 am to CatfishJohn
That’s a good point. But he struggles early yesterday…

No, that was not the difference. It was a crazy week for him & he said he was “running on fumes”

He's a classy guy, he would never guilt Ted by saying his performance was hurt by his absence.
He presumably still was on fumes yesterday and shot a 65 with Ted back on the bag.
