If they do play and Scottie can't get out in time but is in route to the course when his tee time comes up, will the PGA.make an exception and allow Scottie to play and not automatically DQ him for missing his tee time?

It already hosts the Tour Championship though so I don't know how viable it would be to host a major in the same year

My counter to that is why was it ok for LMPD to let through the other golfers and caddies but not Scheffler? Those PGA Tour cars are clearly marked.

Cops are charging him with assault. For fricks sake they are going to double and triple down. Unreal to me This country kinda sucks

I’m a cop in NOLA and have worked 100 of these type of things. I can only go off what Darlington is saying. This is a miscommunication, it doesn’t sound like the car was speeding or attempted to run the officer over. This happens all the damn time in situations like this btw. This is an arse chewing and then you figure out what the situation is. When you realize it’s a player and he is cooperating you tell him “next time listen” and let him go to work.

The cop freaked the frick out because Scheffler was doing what literally every other PGA staff member was doing. He did end up stopping and the cop reached into his car to snatch him up.
I mean JFC, at that point you just identify it’s him and let him go.
