An officer tried to stop him, placed his hand on Scottie’s car, and Scottie was still moving at a slow speed while the officer was touching the car. Officer got angry at that point and arrested him.
Sounds like a massive misunderstanding.
Apparently a bus killed a pedestrian and was obviously stopped in front of the entrance with no driver present so scottie passed on the shoulder not knowing any of this. A confluence of events all colliding at the wrong time.

ETA They said Cam Young and Will Zalatoris walked a mile and a half to the course this morning and were picked up near the gate by a gold cart. Cause traffic was so bad they didn’t think they could make it via car.

Which means Scottie’s time is now 10:08? Will he be back…the PGA has a quandary. It’s looking more obvious that he did nothing wrong, but might be forced to withdraw if he doesn’t make his tee time.

So trying to catch up here.. I assumed ok he got arrested then released. But now it sounds like they drove off with him and he is STILL detained?!?!

Yes he went to jail this morning in the squad car. He'll likely be released and have a police escort back just to make his tee time in time. Watch
