I'm not turning on Netflix to watch the NFL. IDGAF if the Cowboys are on it. I'm sick of this shite.

So either you have Netflix and are too lazy to turn the app on or you don’t have Netflix and are salty that you don’t get to watch extra games for free.

You know for a board that is supposedly all about free enterprise, pro capitalism, and against a bunch of free shite, y’all sure whine a lot about two nfl games that will not affect your quality of life in one single way if you don’t watch them.

Netflix constantly beats the doomer predictions analysts set for them. They really don't get enough credit for what they've accomplished over the past decade. I predict massive numbers in line with broadcast television NFL numbers.

Is Paramount plus still going to do playoff games? Or was it on peacock? I can’t remember

That was Peacock. Paramount+ gives you the ability to watch live tv of the local CBS market, it’s how I watch college and NFL games that come on CBS. With Peacock you can watch some sporting events live but its not a constant live feed of NBC like Paramount+ is with CBS.

The Super Bowl will be PPV within 10 years.

This has been predicted for 40+ years. I doubt it will ever happen the networks pay massive amounts for the regular seasons games in part because they get the SB every 2-3 years. It’s unlikely they could make more than the current TV contracts

How long before we start to hear how this is racist, and Netflix will have to start giving out free accts to the poor to go a long with their free internets??

I’m am an unapologetic capitalist disciple of Milton Friedman, i don’t care what the network the NFL chooses to show their games on, if it’s on something like Peacock that i don’t have I won’t watch no skin off my nose.
I’m generally not a fan of streaming sports because it’s a pain in the arse to flip between different games/channels.

What I find hilarious though is that 12-15 years ago all the hipster millennials were talking about how streaming was the future and that it would be so much cheaper it than traditional cable. It was obvious that the “free” / cheaper early days of streaming was not sustainable and eventually buying everything “a la carte” would be just as if not more expensive than traditional cable

I’ve said it many times here. There’s no reason why anyone should be adding additional services to watch nfl games in this day and age.

Streaming is much cheaper and much more flexible than cable ever was.

This is an asinine take. No one has ever had free access to every regular season game at any point in the NFL’s history.

I really don’t understand how most of y’all function at reasonable level on a daily basis with some of the takes I’ve seen on this board lately. Louisiana really living up to that 50th ranked state billing.

This is false. My cable bill with like every channel 10 years ago was $75. The basic streaming packages now start at that price

Need to know the matchup first and how they look by that time.

eta: just read it. Chiefs v Steelers and Ravens v Texans. Should bring a lot of eyes. $75mil a game

Not anymore when you have to subscribe to one service to watch games one wekekend, and another service for this weekend, and so on.

Is it? It’s flexible in the sense you can watch when you want (of course that was possible with a VCR in the 80s) but only what’s available on that specific streaming service. As for sports with cable for get 100+ NFL games with just Sunday and Monday plus Thanksgiving and the occasional Saturday regular season and 11 playoff games. On a given CFB Saturday what 10 or more games starting at 11 am CST and that’s just football. God knows how many basketball and baseball games or hockey for those that watch that. If cable cost $150-$180/month there’s no way you would get all those games for less on streaming/ppv
