And if I were Trump I would say let CNN do it. That might seem crazy, but they have been giving Biden more shite lately than anyone else and they seem to be trying to make a change for some reason.

Yeah, that first debate was an absolute shiite show. I'm also OK with not having a crowd. Both sides stuff the crowd with partisans and between the debaters talking over and the crowd cheering or jeering, it turns it into a crap fest.
I do wish they would end the moderator asking questions. The debate should be centered around a specific topic like, foreign policy, and let the candidates go at it. Each candidate has a 2-minute time limit for a response. All the moderator does is enforce those time limits and keep the debate on track.

Finally, debates have basically been like a BRAVO reunion the last 2 elections, completely worthless because no one can make a complete point or statement because it's become "winning" to shout over your opponent. This has been suggested 100s of times on this board.
Also agree with no audience, I don't need an hour of clapping and hollering in a 2 hr debate. It adds nothing and serves no purpose.
Completely disagree with no third party candidate though.

I'm not going to read all of the replies, but I'm going to just assume that Cult45 isn't going to admit that Trump let himself get backed into a corner by Biden and submitted.

Yep - 100% spot on.
The whole "I'll debate anywhere anytime" bravado has backfired spectacularly and now we get a debate on CNN.
And MAGA isn't going to admit this, but Biden's going to win the debate. Trumpkins have set the expectations so low that all Biden has to do is not shite himself and he wins.
Trump also isn't going to do what he should do anyway during the debate - which is to let Biden talk. If you let Biden talk, he's going to embarrass himself. Instead, Trump is going to interrupt and interrupt and interrupt, reminding voters how unhinged and crazy he is.
