Speaking your beliefs is an uncompromising pursuit of religious ideals?
If your belief is that a woman who can’t have children is just shite outta luck on account of God’s will, and you use your platform to broadcast that conviction, then yeah man

Would it have been zealotry for Butker to say "Homosexuality is a disordered desire?"
He kinda did that already:
quote:
"Not the deadly sins sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it," Butker said
And I feel like you know that there are sliding scales of zealotry. Just because he isn’t murdering someone doesn’t exempt him from sounding a bit fanatical in his statements.

But that's literally not the belief.
The belief is that her want of kids does not change the moral implications of killing life to get life. The ends don't justify the means.
At least argue about the actual belief.

And I'd still argue that believing or speaking aren't zealotry. We are obviously at an impasse.
My only caution, from the very beginning, is that to so quickly label something so innocuous as what Butker did as zealotry is just a dangerous direction to head in. That's a fairly loaded term. It's not a good thing to do.
