am not saying they are in the same class but I would guess it's just that these are not "god's will" type things in that people are making choices for other people. IVF is not someone getting pregnant naturally and euthanasia is not someone dying completely naturally

By this logic, all medicine goes against “God’s Will”.

I guess that’s typical Christian Scientist stuff, but even the staunchest Christian scientist guy could probably find wiggle room to differentiate between that and euthanasia. Hilariously bad form to just lump all that stuff in there in the same sentence, while very likely having members of that same congregation who have either done IVF, have friends that have, or overwhelmingly support the idea

I mean being against IVF is like being against ice cream. Such a lose lose take to have that will not gain you many supporters

Or who were born as a result of it. Kind of fricked up to say that to an audience of people he doesn’t know. he could be telling some of them he thinks their mere existence is an abomination

I guess he won’t put one of his children on a ventilator if needed. It’s not natural to have a machine breathing for you.

When I went through pre-marriage counseling to get married in the catholic church, the couple assigned to us did, in fact, believe that pretty much all medicine was against god's will and even went as far to say that they wouldn't take Advil as they believed it to be sin.

I didn't have the balls to ask about the cancer treatments the wife had received that they told us about earlier in our counseling.
