I completely disagree with bill being pushed in OP, but this should be forefront. It happened with Covid and can definitely happen again. No governor or government should ever have that much control over our personal and business lives over a virus or anything else. A governor and mayors being able to shutdown businesses on a whim and as they please is absurd.

Then they should look into reigning in the powers and authority of the governors office; instead of expanding the power of the governors office like they're pushing now.

The state was just following the guidelines put in place by the federal government, which was ran by our man Trump at the time, and it’s not like the governor had to follow the guidelines. If Jeff Landry is going to be the governor, and some Covid like thing has a chance of happening soon, then he probably wouldn’t enforce the guidelines from the feds anyways. So to me, I see this as nothing more than a social conservative political thing, and most everything Jeff Landry has done or even pushed for during his campaign, has been strictly that.
