These Lakers trades are why I stand hard on my stance that BI is more valuable than Trae

They can’t actually send 3 guaranteed firsts.

They can send 24 and one of 29 or 30 outright.

They can only offer 27 if it is top 4 and would have to offer conditions should it not convey.

When the new league year starts I'm pretty sure they can trade 24, 29, and 31

ETA: technically it would have to be the player selected in the 24 draft, but whatever

I agree with you its shite offers. Offers we could easily beat if we wanted Trae or Dejounte.

I hate the Lakers but the fact of the matter is they don’t hesitate pulling the trigger for trades to improve the team. Meanwhile Griff has always been pretty hesitant in trying to beat other offers to get that star. If Im Griff unload BI and that warchest and go get your guy whether its Trae, Dejounte or whoever.

If Trae was going to go to the Lakers he wouldn't have fired Klutch

What if they did trade Davis?

Davis/Hachimura for Young/Capella. Works in the trade machine..

If the Hawks are rebuilding now, how much help does 17 in a bad draft plus firsts in 2029 and 2031 help them?

Thats not happening. He was pretty damn productive and had its healthiest season in years.

If you look at my other posts I don't think Trae is going to the Lakers anyway, it doesn't really make sense to swap to CAA if your goal is to get to the Lakers.

whoa whoa whoa WHOA

Why would we need to touch our "warchest" for Trae or Murray?

Really depends what other offers are out there and how bad they want to get rid of Trae and shed his salary.

Dumping Trae for the sake of dumping Trae is stupid as frick if they don’t plan on being at least middling in 2025.

The Spurs own their pick outright so bottoming out has no benefit for them.

There's roughly zero percent chance that Griff keeps number 17 in this draft.

It might be but this is what they stated. They want to rebuild.

If the "rumors" are true, they would be dumping him to improve the locker room and save longterm cash/cap.

I don't think they're dealing him to rebuild.

Murray and Trae don't work.

They tried to trade Murray and got no real offers.

Now they're trying to trade Trae. We'll see if they can get real offers.

The Murray trade was a huge fail for them, like the Dmitch trade is likely to be for CLE. We all thought Minny's deal with Gobert was going to end up that bad, but they came out laughing in the end.

I could see Atlanta prioritizing cap space/TPE and draft picks

One good thing for Pels is we have ways to do any sort of trade they would like

3 team trade:

Hawks:

Brandon Ingram
Larry Nance

Cavs:

Onyeka Okongowu
EJ Lidell

Pels:

Trae Young
Jarrett Allen

Throw in whatever picks needed to make it work.

If the cap threshold is around 170mil we would be adding an additional 13mil to our current 150mil for 2024-2025.

So we should still be 5-10mil under the cap. Not including exemptions.

Roster:

Trae/ Jose/
Herb/ CJ/ Hawkins
Trey/ Dyson/ Ryan
Zion/ / JRE
Allen/

Just need

(1) Vet backup PF
(1) Vet backup C
(1) Rookie C
(1) rookie/ vet PG

I think they’re trying to trade both. I believe it was stated somewhere that Hawks are going the rebuild route. I mean both stars are on the trade block probably asking for picks- I think thats a full rebuild.
