Everyone keeps saying “_____” is not sustainable.

It is as long as people are fine living in debt and working until they die.

every time I start to doubt my plan, I remember that I’m debt free and can retire before 60. Regardless of whether I am “rich”, I call that a win

When people are fine not being able to pay their debt is the problem.

That’s when the banks will get their way. Meaning bailouts, more inflation, and the cycle continues until a crash.

And we are in the middle of the worst kind of crash. A slow, guided crash where our buying power slowly dwindles to nothing. People are expecting this HUGE event, which will someday come, but that’s probably easier to deal with all at once than having your assets slowly robbed from you to feed the rich.

I don’t like living in dept. that’s why my truck is 10 years old with 140k miles on it. I’m gonna drive this bastard until it falls apart. Then I’m gonna get a fricking horse.

Probably should be a separate thread but easy access to credit/debt has screwed everything up.
