It's scary that oolls are so close. How people would vote for status quo. I would never understand.

Polls before a certain point are registered voters and not likely voters. And the pollsters tend not to claim a race is out of reach early.
It likely means that Biden’s actual polling is dismal and they are nominally keeping him in the race to prevent a Carter 1980 situation where it was such a route that it killed down ticket Dems.
