If you haven't heard about the black middle school teacher fired for letting several of his young female students braid his hair in class, here's the story:

Well, the president of the United States said little black kids liked to rub the hairs on his legs in the swimming pool.

Did you have her personal cell phone number?

Why post anything?

Because social media and going viral trumps any kind of discretion and maturity. The behavior itself is weird enough but how does a sensible and intelligent person not stop and say, "it might not look good if I give my number out and let middle schoolers caress my head".

I don't think where it occurred is relevant as much as why it happened

I didn't say it was more relevant, but it is important to know. The color of the people isn't as relevant as "why it happened" either if we are making a relevancy list, yet you made it a main focus.

I didn't make it a main focus. The news article in the link did. I just reported it. Doesn't matter to me personally.

Yes you did make it the focus as you made the title with the focus on it.

The articles title makes no mention of it, nor does the article mention "black" until about the 10th paragraph. If it weren't for the pics, and name it would only be assumptions.

Let me do some of the work for you....this happened in North Carolina.

That went out the window decades ago.

But, doesn't seem he should have been fired, unless this was an act in a series of acts that was problematic.

I wouldn't want my kids touching someone's nasty arse hair regardless.

One point nobody has made is, the other students not "friendly" with him (boys for example) would feel left out and seek the same "closeness" for possible favors and an easy "A" in the class. It's just dumb and stupid. SMH. There's a reason those "old-fashioned values" worked so well in past before school shootings and chaos became the norm. There are little or no real standards in our culture, anymore.

At this point, there are literally hundreds of articles and videos about him. I only posted a link to one because it was requested. Folks can do their own research if they care to.

And his inappropriate behavior can likely lead to legal action.

I guess you disagree because most parents nowadays don't understand their own roles and act appropriately. It still takes a village to raise kids right.

Teachers can stick to math, science, history, english, etc. No parent away from home bullshite. They already think they know what's best for your kids. They need to stay in their lane and leave parenting to the parents.

I'd want my kids teacher to treat them like their own as far as respect and guidance, etc. That's what's worked in the past. This newage teaching had clearly failed.
