You had the best and smartest answer in this post then you HAD to go Frick it up.
So out of ten Sunday games SEVEN threw their ace or ace that came back from injury (Bama) and one second starter. Meaning on Sundays this year it’s actually been like playing on Fridays. So I ask why soon it into saying what the cool kids are saying (Jay analytics MUh) when you had the perfect answer??
This team looks like the average Pawl team that has 3-4 sub .225 hitters. We can’t field the ball( Braswell has lost 3 sec games. Millaonzo has lost 2 BY THEM SELVES. BUT the rantards want to blame Jay for analytics because some idiot brought it up once and it sounds SO GOOD.

2008 - 0 sub .225 hitters (lowest was .272)
2009 - 0 sub .225 hitters (lowest was .294)
2010 - 0 sub .225 hitters (lowest was .283)
2011 - 2 ~.225 hitters (Trey Watkins and Ty Ross), no one else sub .279
2012 - 1 sub .225 hitter (Arby Fields), no one else lower than .253
2013 - 1 sub .225 hitter (Ty Ross), no one else lower than .294
2014- 0 sub .225 hitters, lowest was Christian Ibarra at .238, next lowest was .288
2015 - 0 sub .225 hitters, lowest was .278
2016 - 0 sub .225 hitters, lowest was .286
2017 - 0 sub .225 hitters, lowest was .256
2018 - 1 sub .225 hitter (Hal Hughes), followed by Feducia at .233
2019 - 1 sub .225 hitter (Hal Hughes), followed by Broussard at .255
2021 - 1 sub .225 hitter (Milazzo), with Beloso close at .226

So not really sure where this narrative you concocted comes from. Mainieri had 8 total that would even kind of qualify over his entire career (among regular starters). of those 8, most of them were catchers, 3 of the 4 being guys who were elite defeinsively (Papierski/Ross/Feducia). Papierski has reached the majors with 2 different teams and Feducia is in AAA. Until the very end of his career, we were typically one of the better hitting teams every year in the SEC.

Further, who are all the sub .225 hitters on the roster this year? I count one.
