No issues with cats that do not wonder the streets or into my yard shed or boat without leashes…

Now an unsupervised cat wondering into my yard pissing and scratching my cushions on my yard furniture or boat. Will normally never do it again

I have two cats and love having them. I just wish they could tell me what they really like to eat so I can stop spending a small fortune trying to figure it out.

For cats, humans aren’t owners or masters. They’re accessories.

Cars choose to like you. You can kick a dog in the a-hole in the morning and in the evening he’s happy to see tou again. A cat will shite in your shoe if you do that.

I like both, but prefer a cat.

Most internet tough guys think it’s cool to hate on cats. That’s why all the goobers on here talk about how much they hate cats.

We like both, but I prefer a pet that can be left on its on when we go out of town. That pet is a cat. (Of course, ours is still pissed off at us because we were gone for a few days recently.)

Cats are essential on a farm. I don't even want to think how many field mice would get in the house if we didn't have them.

Pro-cat.

This kitten was abandoned on our place last fall. Is doing well as a barn cat. She's already presented us with lizards, mice, and birds. In the second photo she's hunting the neighbor's horse.

Many cats have the "I don't care how big you are, I'm hunting you," syndrome. That is hilarious.

The behavior between housecats and tigers at big cat sanctuaries are shockingly similar, which at least lets me know what I'm dealing with. An adult tiger or lion acts exactly the same as my house cat when the back is turned. Time to put the tail up, haunches up, and attack.

Dogs are great, but cats are more complicated. Dogs seem to get abused and mistreated more often, but keep hanging around. This makes at least one rescue my ex adopted a hysterical mental mess. Cats will just GTFO if given the chance.

One of the most insightful quotes about cats and dogs comes from Christopher Hitchens:

quote:

Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.

I'd rather run into a bear in the woods than a house cat.
