Do any of you have a gun rack in your pickup truck?

My great grandfather and my grandfather had one. My dad has one in his farm truck. They live in rural South Louisiana. My great grandpa always had his 22 ready for a rabbit or snakes.

Last thing I want is for anyone to know I have a gun.

It’s because people rarely have a single cab any more. There also used to be weird laws in some places that your gun couldn’t be concealed in your vehicle. The only place to put long guns in a single cab truck was on a rack on the back window.

I haven't seen one in forever. I graduated High School in 1988 and wasn't unusual for some of us to go hunting before school. It was normal to see trucks in the student parking lot with shotguns or rifles hanging in the back window.

I've got a gun rack in my Chevy
For when the surf and the flak get heavy
And we'll have fun with our guns until the lifeguard takes our ammo away

“ I don’t own Ah gun much less many guns necessitating a rack.”
