All you douchebags know he nearly won a National Title at Arizona too, right?

You’re expecting too much out of these guys.

Jay Johnson has not won the SEC West, the SEC Tournament or the SEC.

Arkansas should be so proud of their West title last year. Wish we had a year like that.

I don’t care. We don’t hang flags for sec titles. Without looking it up, how many did Skip win?

Do you think Van Horn is a good coach?

He absolutely is. Has also been less successful than Jay Johnson in many more years coaching.

He was literally 1 cancelled game away from winning the SEC last season.

Good grief people. Y'all are ridiculous with this. It's year 3.

crapping on a championship winning coach

Like Paul Mainieri? He won a championship, and he assembled that roster. People crapped on him, too, but I don't know if he ever had a team as bad as this one.

Skip also won 6 SEC Tournaments.
During the Skip era, no Super Regionals and the CWS finals were one game.

The only people who don’t think Dave Van Horn is a good coach have worms in their brains

And sorry, but no need to win the SEC tournament. They did exactly what they needed to do last season and did the right thing by getting out of it when they did. Much more important goals to set up for.

He had some pretty rough teams in a less competitive SEC. It’s closer than you think.

A Penthouse last season

An Outhouse this season

This team is the anti-thesis of last season

It’s an admin issue. We don’t have any sports people making hires, they’re only looking for people they can sell our gullible fans on. What we get are guys who are on the backside of trends that don’t want to or can’t change with the times. Kelly is an old coach who can’t catch up to the top programs and never could. JJ is a religious zealot to a type of baseball that’s on its way out of the game. McMahon is about a decade behind the current trends in his sport. What they do is buy old stock that makes you feel safe but in truth is on shaky ground instead of seeing what’s coming down the pike because they can’t sell innovation to our dipshit fans.

Johnson seems to focus on hitting. And yes, you have to hit well but you have to pitch and defend as well. He didn’t inherit much pitching from PM and last year he signed Skenes but he doesn’t seem to recruit good pitching. This offseason is big. Has to bring players in. I think he has two years with some improvement. But things might get tough if they look this bad next year.

Curious as to who assembled that roster. If only we knew.

It wasn’t all JJ if that’s your point.

Mainieri will be the first one to tell you they don't win it all without the players Jay also had.

Paul has had bad seasons though. DVH has had a worse season than this and people want him. Florida's coach right now is having a similar season, but nobody is calling for his head.

What is wrong with you people?

Covid season was cancelled so there is a potential for 4 of the last 5?champions to miss the postseason the following year. Florida who was in the championship series with us is close to missing the postseason as well.
