Exactly. Next year will be embarrassing because all the top guys from this years team will be gone. He said this years staff would be better than last years. Wow.

Florida has lost 6 straight SEC series. They are nearly a .500 team overall. They probably have more talent than we do.

It happens. DVH had an atrocious season a few years back.

I just don't get you people discrediting what Jay did in his first two seasons here. In fact the first season was more impressive to me than last year considering he had no ace pitcher.

There are multiple teams with a couple of elite players that don't win it all. I don't get discrediting a coach, because he had great players. Also, they turned Skenes into a monster. He was great Air Force, but he became elite at LSU. You don't stop developing after a transfer.

Jay has won everywhere he's been. That's no mistake.

The only way he sees Omaha again is if he buys tickets.

I’ll ask what SEC schools would be willing to trade their coach for Johnson?

Pretty much all of them.

This could be said about so many national championship.
“It's not the X's and the O's, but the Jimmys and the Joes that make the difference.”
But it takes a coach to get all of it moving in the right direction.

lol. So Tennessee would trade? Vandy? Florida? Kentucky? Arkansas? I wish we could actually test this theory but it’ll never happen because nobody wants him

So tired of simple minded people like you crapping on a championship winning coach. Just completely dismissing what he accomplished.

It’s a factor of being who we cheer for. Pretty well known LSU has many simple minded fans. Just have to weed through them to get to any type of intellect.

It’s just a handful of goofballs that watch college baseball a dozen times throughout the season. They also meltdown at midweek results. They’re football only fans that dabble in baseball when something really good or really bad is happening.

They’re a bunch of Chad Blouin’s

Florida and Vandy have both had seasons exactly like ours. Arkansas has never won a CWS. Kentucky? wtf lol

I'm so glad Jay won the CWS championship without even needing to throw Skenes, because of people like this guy trying to discredit him.

LSU went through the toughest possible route in Omaha with Tenn, Wake, and Florida. Those teams were incredibly talented as well.

He hasn't managed this team well at all. He treats it like last years team...playing for the HR ball. He doesnt move guys on the basepaths, put pressure on the other team, and find ways to score runs without XBHs. Instead we hit pop ups and keep ourselves in DP situations. And when we do get the HR it seems to be a solo shot.

The bullpen management has also been abysmal. I don't fault him so much this week but the previous couple weekends were really bad. I understand a lot of pitchers haven't panned out to be who we thought they were, but at some point you have to move on from that and find ways to put the right guys in the right spots. We are losing to teams with inferior talent due to inferior management.

Lastly the talent evaluation was not very good either especially on the pitching side.

With all that said, he still gets the benefit of the doubt in my book and deserves time to right the ship

PM never had the transfer portal like it works now.
1 National Championship
6 SEC Tournament Championships
4 SEC Championships
5 Omaha trips
Hall of Fame Coach

It’s called consistency.

shite Paul failed to win a title with guys like Kevin Gausman, Alex Bregman and Nola.

It’s a down year, Paul had two horrible years after his title in a less competitive sec at the time.

If we suck next year we can fire up the torches.

Also if you are upset at Jay you better be upset at McLoser who hasn’t done squat in 2 years while JJ delivered an actual title.

That’s over, what 12 years? Jay has already matched the only stat that matters there in less than 3.

And that’s not a slight at Paul. He’s rightfully in the hall of fame.

Very good coach. The program had also gone stale and needed a change. Both are true. Said change brought us a championship two years later.
