I mean, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Right now, Zion has not developed any finesse game at all. It has worked great when he's in shape and healthy. However, when he is not in shape, he loses his athleticism and becomes defendable. Unfortunately, father time also strips us of our athleticism. So he HAS to get consistently in shape and lighter or that deterioration will only accelerate. He needs to be working on other, more repeatable tools to offset the effects of age.

That's the thing that scares the hell out of me with going all in behind Zion. You have to cater a roster to his bizarro skillset, but can't rely on him to bring that skillset to the game for an entire season.

His finesse around the rim is some of the best I've ever seen. As for building around him, what other choice does the franchise have? It sure as hell shouldn't be built around BI. Zion or bust.
