Guns are a constitutionally protected right and yet we tolerate all sorts of infringements on that right. And guns don’t ever kill anyone apart from a negligent or intentional act by a human.

Why should pit bulls, which have no such constitutional protections, and which are prone, whether through bad ownership, genetic predisposition or both, to randomly kill people or pets, be allowed to exist at all, especially without background checks, felons prohibited from owning, pitbull free zones, etc?

Most homeowner insurances won’t cover a home with a pit along with several other breeds due to the risk involved.

Of course, I think most people with these breeds are typically not homeowners.
