Palm Royale: Apple TV+

Pretty good show. I’d mow Dinah’s box.

I finished the series. I was really excited to start this series, what a cast they assembled. I love the era . The late 60s and Palm Beach, the cars, the style. and did I forget to say the cast...incredible.


What a waste. I feel cheated. This is perhaps the worst written show I can remember. I think I'm the most disappointed I've been in a show in a long time. So much promise. The actors assembled, the sets look great, the production values are there. The only thing they forgot was to make it interesting or coherent. The tone is all over the place- cant decide whether it's spoofy kitsch or melodramatic comedy, There is just no cohesive guiding point of view behind it.

I debated making a thread to say this a few days ago and decided against it, because it would have just been to bitch about a show....and I'm really tired of those threads. But I'll just give it one post to say what I feel. I hope anyone who watches it will enjoy it. but damn I'm disappointed. I really had to make myself watch the last 3 episodes and it definitely wasn't worth it. Oh well.

My wife watched it and I loosely followed along. She seemed to like it.

Like all Apple stuff the production value was excellent. I can't speak for the storylines other than Kristen Wiig looked hot, and my wife loved Ricky Martin in it.
